CBS News Live Debate Coverage

GOAL:

CBSN wanted to create a dynamic and unique viewing experience during their 2016 Presidential Debate coverage.

SOLUTION:

Telescope led the way with another industry first, curating Instagram Stories from political experts and voters across the US into CBSN’s live coverage using the Connect Live platform. CBSN news anchors and reporters contributed original Instagram stories that integrated into pre-debate and post-debate coverage for both the Presidential and Vice Presidential debates live on-air.

RESULTS:

This activation told the debate story by engaging the audience into CBSN’s coverage in a never before seen way. CBSN drew a record 2.98 million streams and 1.4 million unique viewers for the first debate.
