Overview
Telescope is seeking an experienced UX Architect to join our Product Development team, who will be responsible for interaction and architecture of high quality, and innovative, user-centered interfaces for interactive HTML5 applications with social plug ins. The talented candidate must have a good understanding of progressive web technologies, be conversant in major social networks, thrive in a collaborative agile team environment and be able to effectively execute rapid design and implementation of web user interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Create new and innovative rich internet applications using progressive web technologies
- Contribute to the creative process, design and implementation of new web application features and updates
- Create rapid functional prototypes and proof-of-concepts
- Be conversant in new technologies and social media trends
- Work closely with graphic design, software development, and quality assurance teams in implementation of features
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing to create effective marketing assets
- Apply strong visual knowledge and sensibilities in the creation of simple and effective user interfaces for advanced applications
Job Requirements
- 3+ years experience as a web development team member participating in the complete product development life-cycle of successfully launched web applications
- Ability to successfully execute multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrable experience in UX design, prototyping or wireframes
- Understanding of the opportunities and challenges that different browsers and platforms offer
- Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design and/or Computer Science or equivalent degree

Director of Data Analytics and Consumer Insights
Overview
Telescope is seeking a Director of Data Analytics and Consumer Insights to join our Product Development team. You will be responsible for leading consumer insight initiatives for our interactive and social media products, developing scales and indexes and helping to unlock the value of the masses of consumer interactive data that gets processed on our platforms. You will use your analytical skills to sieve through a mountain of data and present key findings in a compelling and visually interesting way.
Responsibilities
- Review data collected from multiple channels and projects and devise a comprehensive data mining plan based on defined business goals
- Recommend key performance indicators on the customer experience
- Analyze quantitative data (SQL, SPSS, Excel)
- Deliver insights via reports, online dashboards, data visualizations and infographics
- Identify additional data sources and implement data mining methodologies
- Recommend ways to run and measure A/B testing
- Liaise with internal teams, mainly Product Development, Business Development and Engineering
Job Requirements
- Candidates must have experience with online consumer behavior analysis, and think strategically about how best to present actionable insights to clients
- Ideal candidates will have experience with social media data analysis
- Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree required; concentration Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or other Predictive Analytics discipline
- Advanced level user of Microsoft Excel, Access and/or SPSS
- Hand on experience with SQL is a plus
- Experience with SAS, R, Business Objects, Tableau, Web Trends and/or Google Analytics
- At least 2 years relevant work experience required; in data analysis for web driven applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required

Vice President Business Development, Telescope UK
Telescope’s US business has established an enviable reputation as the leading provider of iTV technology and services to the largest TV networks, production companies, TV sponsors and brands. We are looking for a highly motivated, ambitious and skilled individual to take our US expertise and their experience of the UK market to lead the creation of a similarly successful business in the UK. A key focus will be to build strong and effective relationships with existing UK contacts and new clients (and to penetrate and influence new groups within these existing client organizations.) Initially, you’ll need to ‘bootstrap’ the UK operation – helping to create a viable business plan, creating momentum via your own drive and passion to build a new business unit and, with support, deliver sales and build a local team to manage projects and opportunities.
Reporting to the group CEO, Telescope UK’s Vice-President is responsible for ensuring that the UK division builds a customer base and reaches its revenue targets in driving new business from this market. You will be expected to shape our existing products and services to meet the needs of the UK market by working with the group’s technology and products teams based in the US.
Job Description
Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you become the face of Telescope to clients in the UK. You understand their business objectives and are able to effectively articulate in person, in writing, and in presentations, how Telescope's solutions can help them address their needs. You anticipate how decisions are made, who is making them, and understand the details of individual campaigns and overall client strategy to persistently explore and uncover new opportunities within your key relationships.
To deliver complete solutions to clients, you'll also be expected to manage relationships with other related parties (such as TV sponsors, premium mobile aggregators and platforms such as Facebook and Twitter). You will serve as a trusted advisor consulting with our clients and communicating important feedback to our product development team as necessary. Above all, you are responsible for hitting your business plan.
Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for revenue generation, up-selling and management of your client relationships
- Report on sales figures internally and take ownership of your accounts
- Serve as a liaison with clients regarding new product launches and other key opportunities
- Provide weekly updates and ensure optimal client satisfaction
- Assisting in building a UK team to resource client requirements
- Understand the competitive dynamics of the UK marketplace, liaise with clients at industry events and represent Telescope to the UK industry
Requirements
- 5 years + experience of online, social media, or mobile technology in business development, account management or sales roles
- Experience of iTV services and the UK television sector a big advantage

Quality Assurance Engineer
Reporting to the Director of Technical Operations and working with members of the Telescope Inc Operations team, the Quality Assurance Engineer will take on day-to-day responsibilities assuring the highest quality products are shipped. We are looking for a bright, well rounded individual with a keen attention to detail and the ability to rapidly grasp new concepts. The ideal candidate would be a quick learner that will be able to contribute to a diverse group of projects and applications and have pride in the work they do. They should be highly motivated, customer-centric and posses a deep understanding of the latest test methodologies and techniques. The QA Engineer will work as part of a team to design, develop, and support a growing number of interesting projects for a wide range of clients, with a focus on web based user interfaces development. This is a Los Angeles based position.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of Quality Assurance experience in the software industry
- Full Software Development Life Cycle experience
- Understanding of relevant technologies: HTML, JavaScript, CSS, basic networking
- Proficiency working in a Linux/BSD environment

The ideal candidate would be a quick learner that will be able to contribute to a diverse group of projects and applications and have pride in the work they do. They should be highly motivated, customer-centric and posses a broad understanding of systems, networks, databases and the like. The TechOps Engineer will work as part of a team to support a number of exciting projects for a wide range of clients. This is a Los Angeles based position.
