The Big Brother online vote included new features and fun animations to engage and reward voters and fans, including the ability to earn extra votes by watching an ad and earning achievement badges for sharing on social.
CBS turned to Telescope to power their fan-driven online vote for their hit show Big Brother. Our upgraded and improved Standard Vote made its debut, with entertaining new features and fun animations to engage and reward users, which included the ability to earn five additional votes by watching an ad, earn Achievement Badges for sharing on social and visiting the Big Brother Show page on Paramount+, and a Discovery Page to showcase additional show-related content.
Telescope configured, styled, and iframed our Standard Vote product for Big Brother, seamlessly integrating it into the CBS website for users to interact with.
After logging in with an email address, users had five votes to allocate across the contestants.
Users could view each contestants image and name.
Once they submitted all five votes, the Thank You modal displayed CTAs for users to Watch Ad for 5 Extra Votes, Share to Earn Achievement Badge, and Browse the Discovery Page.
After watching the ad, users were returned to the Thank You modal where they were shown the votes obtained before returning to the vote grid to cast their rewarded additional votes.
Navigating to the Discovery Page (either from the Thank You modal or the trophy icon at the top right of the vote grid), users were able to see their Achievement Badges earned at the top (which displayed in color when unlocked), challenges described how to earn those badges, and additional content below that could be used to drive users to external URLs (in this case to watch Big Brother on Paramount+).
Voting was limited to users in the US only.
The product allowed CBS to customize their desired Reward and Achievement experience, selecting from a list of a la carte Challenges/Achievements.
The Reward Ad was available to use for Big Brother or sponsor promotions.
The Discovery Page drove users to explore related show content, increasing time on the voting experience and building a longer user journey.
On demand online voting, with encouraged fan engagement and increased visitors to the CBS show page.
Data collection and verified voting with confidence through Telescope's Campaign Manager platform.
An opt-in at the point of login drove a significant number of sign-ups to receive marketing emails for Big Brother/Paramount.
