Custom holiday hub with flyer image recognition driving a consumer wish list sweepstakes
For their holiday campaign, Canadian Tire turned to Telescope to power their Wish and Win Sweepstakes, which enabled users to enter a sweepstakes to win anything from the Canadian Tire's flyer by sharing on social media. When entering the sweepstakes, users built a custom holiday wish list they could share through Facebook and Twitter.
Users were able to enter the Canadian Tire Wish and Win Sweepstakes by taking a picture of an item on the CT print flyer or through the digital flyer and sharing it on social media using the hashtag #CTWishAndWin.
Printed Flyer: Users took a photo of an item they wanted to win for the holidays and were able to share it on Twitter and Instagram as well as post it on the Canadian Tire Facebook Page using #CTWishAndWin.
Digital Flyer: Users visited the CT website digital flyer and clicked on any item they wished to win. They could post it to Canadian Tire’s Facebook Page or share it on Twitter with #CTWishAndWin.
Wish List: For entries using the print flyer, Telescope’s platform recognized the shared image and added the item to the user’s wish list. For entries using the digital flyer, Telescope simply added the shared item to the user’s wish list. The custom wish lists were sharable through Facebook and Twitter.
Winners were notified either in the comment or reply section on the social media channel that they used to enter the sweepstakes.
