HBO turned to Telescope for remote production and live streaming to promote their new show "We're Here"
Due to Covid-19, HBO’s new show We’re Here was unable to hold the traditional red-carpet premiere event. Instead, they turned to Telescope to produce a remote digital premiere pre-show party, known as a #WereHereTogether Digital Premiere Kiki.
Telescope produced the 'digital kiki' show remotely and then streamed it to HBO's YouTube and Twitter social channels. The pre-show was hosted by the show’s stars (RuPaul's Dragrace royalty) Shangela, Eureka and Bob the DragQueen. It also featured behind the scenes clips and celebrity guests Drew Barrymore, Naomi Watts, Ellen Pompeo and many more. Immediately following the pre-show was the premiere of “We’re Here” on HBO.
Featured celebrity guests, behind-the-scenes gossip with the queens and more!
Remote production by Telescope and streamed live to both Youtube and Twitter .
Fans were able to watch some of today’s most beloved Drag Queens discuss some of today’s current issues facing the L.B.G.T.Q communities.
Fans were encouraged to comment and ultimately tune in to the premiere following the “We’re Here Together” Pre-Show.
Throughout the campaign the promoted hashtag was #WereHereTogether
The Twitter and YouTube streams were very successful in driving fan engagement, garnering over 47k views across platforms, and building excitement for the HBO show’s premiere episode of We’re Here.
