YouTube and Facebook Live Stream with audience interactivity
Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem is a wild mobile role-playing game full of shenanigans and zany battles between the iconic characters from the classic cartoons.
For the launch of their gaming app, LTWOM turned to Telescope to stream a live interactive event full of joyous destruction that would make noise across the Internet: the LTWOM “Crushathon”.
Referencing the cartoon’s iconic ACME products, the Facebook live campaign was created to give fans an exclusive and hilarious look into the lives of the shift workers at the fictional ACME testing facility. The 8-hour stream kept the audience engaged with interactive features like comments-to-air and hashtag polling which impacted the on-screen action.
The actors playing the shift workers stayed in character for the entire live stream, crushing dozens of unusual objects, performing office tasks, improvising songs, and even eating lunch on camera before eventually being fired, re-hired, and finishing the day watching Looney Tunes on an old TV that they eventually smashed.
We used our powerful Live Studio platform to stream the eight-hour event to Facebook Live and YouTube Live, integrating audience interactions into the broadcast.
ACME product testers (played by actors) unveiled the newest ACME product – the TurboAnvil 3000 – and tested it, crushing a variety of objects throughout the eight-hour live stream.
The unpredictable and highly entertaining event incorporated comments-to-air and hashtag polling which allowed the audience to decide which items the testers should crush next. Additionally, an on-screen scrolling ticker displayed messages and witty commentary from the ACME CEO.
Live Studio: 8-hour continuous live stream to Facebook and YouTube with graphic elements and interactive features, including comments-to-air and hashtag polling.
Our 8-hour live stream was a stunt unlike any other and garnered over 2.5 million live viewers and 6 million impressions.
The audience was enthralled with the spectacle that played out all day. User interaction was extremely high thanks to the interactive polling element.
Overall viewership spiked throughout the day, with many viewers returning multiple times between 10 am and 6 pm as the script kept the actors on their toes with surprises and twists to the storyline.
Thanks to our hilarious and riveting live stream event, the Looney Tunes: World Of Mayhem game launched at #1 in the App store and was considered a massive success for the client.
