To promote Season 2 of the popular Netflix show, Stranger Things, BFG Agency turned to Telescope for a unique method to create fan generated content and increase buzz for the upcoming season.
The first season of Netflix's series, Stranger Things, was a popular hit amongst many show bingers around the world. To promote the upcoming second season of Stranger Things, BFG Agency teamed up with Telescope to enhance fan engagement by utilizing our uPic product, allowing fans to turn themselves into one of the main characters with a fun and easy selfie filter.
Using our online app, fans started off by choosing their favorite character within the show- whether that was the mysterious Eleven or the leader of the group Mike, and so on. Fans then uploaded a clear photo of their face or chose one from their Facebook profile pics. Users had the ability to easily scale, rotate, and adjust brightness to make sure the fit and overall matched together. Once completed, fans had the option to share the Stranger Things themed image of themselves to any of their social platforms.
Final images included LG sponsorship as well as Netflix branding and approved images were added to the gallery where other fans had access to view it.
