National Geographic’s Savage Thanksgiving

An engaging and wild live stream to drive promotion around the next season of Savage Kingdom.

OVERVIEW

National Geographic and Wildlife turned to Team Telescope to bring engagement to the forefront of their live stream promoting the second season of Savage Kingdom. Wildlife capitalized on the time of year and hosted a Savage Thanksgiving for lions in the Columbus Zoo. A full (and lion-safe) Thanksgiving dinner was set and enjoyed by the lions, all live on Facebook. Telescope provided full production as well as engagement graphics like polls and comments to air.

HOW IT WORKED

Telescope provided a four-camera set up with on-site support and engagement for this one of a kind event. Fans were brought directly into the stream by being encouraged to vote on parts of the meal through Live Studio polls and showing their reactions with the comment to air functionality. In turn, all of this promoted the second season of Savage Kingdom on National Geographic.
