For the 2012 US Elections, Telemundo’s real-time social campaigns were managed via Telescope’s powerful Connect Live social moderation platform. Our end-to-end platform solution integrated with Chyron to power the social & mobile visual components of “Pulso Hispano” – Telemundo’s on-air social lounge around the Elections.
Telescope’s Connect Live Platform processed Twitter data with record-setting volume to capture tweets in real-time. Telemundo Producers were able to curate and approve best content to be pushed on-air during their 2012 US election coverage. Telemundo further engaged their audience with real-time topical Twitter polls and shared the results on-air.

The campaign was considered a huge success for Telemundo and it won two Social TV Awards for Best of TV and Best of Social Integration into Live TV as well as a finalist for Best of TV and and Best of Live TV for the Shorty Awards.
Telemundo was the only Spanish-language broadcast network to increase its election coverage viewership from 2008, with the newly added 360 conversations.
Telemundo’s primetime election night coverage on Tuesday, November 6 posted strong gains over the network’s 2008 election night coverage among key demographics, an increase of 30% among total viewers (927,000 vs. 711,000) and increase of 24% among adults 18-49 (427,000 vs. 343,000)
