Multi-platform voting with exclusive features and sponsor integration
Telescope has powered the NBA All-Star voting for the past ten years, using voting methods across various channels to drive voter engagement - including SMS , Facebook Messenger , Twitter , Google search and online voting . In its 7th year, Telescope powered the Twitter voting with an added feature: Exclusive hashtag-triggered Twitter emojis were unveiled for all 24 NBA All-Stars.
Twitter voting: Hashtags were promoted via social and on-air. To vote, Twitter users simply tweeted #KiaAllStarMVP and #firstnamelastname in the same tweet, which then activated the player’s custom emoji.
Facebook Messenger voting: Voters sent a message with the basketball player’s name they wanted to vote for via the NBA Facebook page.
Google search voting: Users Googled “NBA Vote” and voted by selecting their favorite players
SMS voting: Voters texted the keyword to a short code
Online voting: Fans navigated to the website Telescope created for NBA and simply clicked 'vote' under their favorite player's image. Users also had the ability to share their votes across Facebook & Twitter.
All votes were validated through our Connect Live platform and the starting players for the East and West all-star teams was announced prior to the game.
Twitter hashtag vote: Branded hashtag with custom Twitter emoji for each player (24 total)
Facebook messenger vote: Ease of voting by sending messages via the FB messenger app to submit votes
SMS vote: Text message vote with sponsored vote confirmation
Google vote: Google search term with sponsor integration
